“Black Man in a White Coat”

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as it gives a deeper perspective of the racial discrimination Dr. Tweedy endured during his journey through medical school. Dr. Tweedy highlighted these issues within the healthcare system in order to bring attention to the discrimination he and other racially diverse individuals may experience. With his use of personal examples, Dr. Tweedy makes an emotional connection with the reader, allowing us to step in his shoes for a moment to think how he must have felt. I believe he did an excellent job with this book, as he brings attention to the normalization of racial inequality within the healthcare system.
